Labor-Only Service Terms

These terms apply specifically to labor-only services provided by the Company (loading, unloading, and furniture rearrangement).

1. Scope of Service

Labor-only services from the Company include physical loading, unloading, and/or rearranging of household goods and personal property. Transportation of goods is NOT included in labor-only services. The customer is responsible for providing their own truck, trailer, or container.

2. Billing

  • Labor-only jobs are billed hourly with a minimum of 2 hours
  • Time starts when the crew arrives and begins work
  • Time is rounded up to the nearest half-hour
  • Travel time to the job site is included in the hourly rate for distances over 30 miles

3. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide a suitable truck or container that is legally parked and accessible
  • Ensure adequate parking for the truck at both loading and unloading locations
  • Disassemble furniture that requires disassembly prior to crew arrival, unless packing services are purchased
  • Remove and secure all fragile items from drawers and shelving

4. Liability

For labor-only services, the Company's liability is limited to $0.60 per pound per article under released value protection. Full Value Protection is available for an additional charge. Claims must be reported before the crew leaves the job site.

5. Cancellation

Labor-only bookings may be cancelled up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time without penalty. Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the 2-hour minimum.

6. Safety

the Company's crew reserves the right to refuse to move items that pose a safety risk, including but not limited to: hazardous materials, items exceeding safe lifting limits without proper equipment, and items requiring specialized equipment not available at the job site.
